Rights & Responsibilities

  • All faculty, staff and students of the campus community have the right to report incidents of sexual misconduct or discrimination to any responsible employee and have them addressed according to the Sexual Misconduct policy.
  • Reporting parties have the right to receive counseling or referrals with or without submitting a formal claim.
  • Reporting parties have the right to receive protective measures when the school is made aware of the incident.
  • Reporting parties have the right to notify law enforcement.
  • Claimant and respondent have a right to have a support person present at all meetings related to the sexual misconduct.
  • Reporting parties will receive amnesty for minor infractions (drug/alcohol violations) that are secondary to the reported incident.
  • Respondents have the right to be provided notice of allegations and the opportunity to respond before any action is taken against them.
  • Respondents and Claimants have the right to receive written notice of the outcome and resolution of the sexual misconduct investigation.
