About Me

Denise returns to Marygrove with over 17 years of higher education experience in both two-year and four-year institutions in November, 2015. She states, "This proves that if the task is important, you can go home again. I'm pleased to be back at Marygrove and I look forward to contributing to the forward progress of this great institution."

Denise has earned a Bachelor in Business Administration, a Master of Arts with a concentration in Human Resources, an Education Specialist Certificate with a concentration in Administration and Supervision, and Doctor of Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.

Outside of work, supporting meaningful causes is important to Denise, especially those that embrace Detroit to make it a better city and empower women and girls, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. As part of that commitment Denise volunteers her time working with young girls and women to develop programs that improve their preparation for and retention in college. She also has a passion for the Arts and making sure it is accessible to all, especially children.
