Tracy Halloran Pearson
Detroit native, Tracy Halloran Pearson, received her B.F.A. in Dance Performance from Marygrove College and is currently a M.F.A. candidate in Choreography at the University of Michigan. She has worked as a performer, professor, choreographer and rehearsal director in the dance world. Most recently, Tracy produced and choreographed a performance in Detroit entitled Intersections at the Rabbit Hole, which performed to sold-out audiences. She has been the rehearsal director for works choreographed by Peter Sparling, Artistic Director of Peter Sparling Dance Company, Denis Caspary, Los Angeles choreographer, and Sidra Bell, Artistic Director of Sidra Bell Dance New York. Tracy has choreographed works for Illinois Ballet Theater, the Marygrove College Dance Company, the University of Michigans Department of Dance, The Academy Dance Alliance, and Dance Masters of Michigan. She is an accomplished teacher in ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, and stretch and strengthening techniques. Tracys students are currently performing with Zurich Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, Ballet of Arizona, Illinois Ballet Theater, and Disney Worlds Beauty and The Beast. She has been an instructor at the American College Dance Festival, the University of Michigan, Marygrove College in Detroit, and various studios in the Chicago and Detroit metropolitan areas. Tracy is currently working on starting a contemporary dance company that will rehearse and perform in the city of Detroit.
