Our Residence Life program is overseen by the Director of Residence Life and Judicial Affairs. Additionally, the Residence Life Coordinator is a live-in professional that provides nightly coverage and direct supervision of the Residence Assistants (RAs). RAs are student leaders who are dedicated to student development, building community and programming, and conflict mediation. RAs live within the community and serve on a rotating duty schedule to ensure safety and security in the residence hall.
Residence life professionals are trained to combine the academic classroom experience with multiple out of classroom opportunities. There are many opportunities to enhance your student's education by attending programs in the residence hall, learning how to live in a community, or through learning how to deal with conflicts. Please encourage your student to take responsibility for resolving his/her problems using our staff as a resource. We believe that students who learn to deal with problems on their own become more confident, efficient individuals that often times are well-prepared for life outside of college (work).
You are always welcome as a guest! To ensure residence hall safety, parents (as well as any guests) will be asked to properly check in as guest and to wait for their student to meet them in the lobby.
