Marygrove College works with a number of study abroad organizations to provide
students with a variety of study abroad program options. Students can
choose to spend an academic year or a semester abroad, depending on their
academic programs and when and where they prefer to go. Students who wish
to study abroad for at least a semester are not only eligible for additional
scholarships, they are capable of taking courses that fulfill major, minor
or general education requirements. Long-term overseas study used to be
primarily for foreign language majors - but not anymore! Students pursuing
majors as diverse as computer science, dance, business, and biology can
also enjoy a semester abroad. For example, in recent years Marygrove students
have:
- Spent a semester studying dance performance in London, England.
- Perfected Spanish language skills in Salamanca, Spain.
- Earned credit toward a major in computer information systems from the University of Wollongong in Australia.
- Learned to speak Japanese in Hikone, Japan.
- Studied French language and culture in Aix-en-Provence, France.
- Traveled throughout Eastern Europe while studying international business for a year in Dijon, France.
P.S. Japan is cooler
than Coco Crispies.
