Program Information: This travel seminar, which begins in the Winter 2008, offers cross-cultural learning experiences that will transform your view of the world. Through presentations, independent research, and visits to historic sites and cultural attractions, participants explore ideas that influenced Paris, France and Western civilization. Students bring their experiences back into their classrooms through essays and projects they develop. An optional trip to Chartres and the Loire Valley will explore the magnificent Medieval and Renaissance architecture.
Cost for the Paris portion is $2300 and includes:
- Round-trip airfare
- 8 overnight stays in hotels with private bathrooms
- Complete European breakfast and dinner daily
- Full-time bilingual Tour Director
- 2 sightseeing tours led by licensed local guides: Paris • Versailles
- 1 walking tour: Paris
- 5 visits to special attractions:
- Versailles
- Notre Dame Cathedral
- Louvre
- Eiffel Tower
- Musée d'Orsay
- Experiential learning: Prepare tarte flambée
- 1 carnet (10 Métro tickets)
Optional:
- Chartres and the Loire Valley (add $150)

Eligibility:
Open to full-time students in any discipline, college staff and faculty.

Courses and Credits:
Students receive three credits for this course. This course fulfills the General Education requirement for Global Awareness.
