MARYGROVE APPOINTS Philip Krauss Director of Enrollment Center
Detroit, MI, January 20, 2006 – Dr. Glenda Price,
president of Marygrove College, announces the appointment of Philip Krauss
as director of the new Enrollment
Center.
Krauss manages the “one-stop” enrollment center, which was
created last summer, and a staff of eight. The center’s primary goal is to
provide a single location for students to handle all enrollment business such
as financial aid and registering for class. The center is also responsible for
a substantial amount of student information systems input for the college.
Before Krauss joined Marygrove, he worked for Charter One
Bank as an Account Executive back from 2001 through 2005. There he visited
several colleges and universities to promote Charter One’s student loans. Prior
to his position at Charter One, Krauss worked at Eastern Michigan
University as a Financial
Officer and Assistant Director of Enrollment and Admissions. He also worked as
an Admissions Counselor at Adrian
College.
A resident of Westland, Krauss
received his BA in Political Science at Adrian College.
He possesses significant credit towards a MA in Guidance and Counseling from Eastern Michigan University,
but plans to complete a Masters degree at Marygrove.
Krauss is active in state and national professional admissions
and financial aid associations as well as a national Christian outreach
organization.
