MARYGROVE APPOINTS John Ambrose as Director of Undergraduate Admissions

 

Detroit, MI, January 20, 2006 – Dr. Glenda Price, president of Marygrove College, announces the recent appointment of John Ambrose as director of Undergraduate Admissions.

 

In that capacity, Ambrose serves as Marygrove’s student recruiter and advocate. He also works to enhance Marygrove College’s relationships within the local school districts and community colleges.

 

Ambrose joined Marygrove in the Summer of 2002 as an admissions counselor and assumed the role of coordinator of Freshman Recruitment later in Fall of 2003. In January 2005, Ambrose became assistant director of Undergraduate Admissions, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department.  He assumed his current role in Fall 2005.

 

Before coming to Marygrove, Ambrose worked at American Income Life as an Enrollment Representative, a printing and sales representative and senior manager for Onyx, LLC, a sales representative for Wintor Swan Printing Company and for major advertising agencies and retailers in Southeast Michigan, the east coast and Midwest.

 

As a Detroit resident, Ambrose received his B.S. from Western Michigan University and his Master’s degree in Education from Marygrove College.

 

Ambrose has been instrumental as a member of the Marygrove Integrated Marketing Task Force, the Study Abroad Committee and New Student Orientation program. He is also an active member in his church and one of the organizers of the Midnight Golf Program, which provides young people the necessary tools to excel in life along with acquiring skills and knowledge of the game of golf.
