Celebrates Black History Month
Detroit, Michigan – January
29, 2005 – February is a chance to
celebrate Black History Month by reflecting on the contributions made to the
world by those of African descent. The
following is a list of upcoming Black History Month events at Marygrove
College. These events are open to the
public. Unless indicated otherwise, the
events are free.
Wednesday, February 9
Great sales on clothing, jewelry, art, herbs/spices and

Learn how music can influence
your perceptions and interactions in relationships.

Friday, February 18
Marygrove students and youth from the metropolitan
Detroit community will showcase their talents in this Apollo style talent show
competition.

Thursday, February 24
Author of the recently published Connected
Islands: New and Selected Poems. Book-signing
to follow presentation.
