Marygrove College Holds Annual Spring Concert

 

 

The Department of Music at Marygrove College will present its annual Spring Concert with the voices of the Marygrove College Chorale and Chamber Singers on Sunday, April 25, 4:00 p.m., at Marygrove College, 8425 W. McNichols Rd. in Detroit, Sacred Heart Chapel. It will feature Robert Ray’s Gospel Mass, conducted by Norah Duncan IV, director of music at Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament. The choirs will also perform an eclectic program of sacred music including Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Howells, and spirituals by Moses Hogan. Ellen Duncan, associate professor of music, will direct the choir and Christopher Burton, assistant professor of music, will join her as accompanist.

Marygrove is a private, Catholic, liberal arts college in northwest Detroit.  It is nationally recognized for its visual and performing arts programs.  Marygrove’s music department has produced many outstanding musicians and vocalists over the years, some who have performed with the Metropolitan Opera and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. ###
