DETROIT,
MI—September 16, 2004 —Mitchell Rosenzweig has joined Marygrove College as
director of funds development. In his
new role, Rosenzweig will develop and coordinate capital campaigns, design and
coordinate fundraising programs, serve as a consultant to assist individual
departments with their fundraising objectives, and manage office staff.
Prior
to joining Marygrove, Rosenzweig was a regional operations manager for The
Wellness Plan in Detroit. Other
positions held include chief administrator/consultant for Covenant Academy in
Faribault, Minnesota; executive director of Boys Hope Girls Hope of Detroit;
and executive director of the Girlstown Foundation, Inc. in Belleville. His professional experience includes capital
and operating campaigns, grant writing, public and internal policy development,
and strategic planning.
Rosenzweig holds a master of social work from the
University of Michigan and a bachelor of arts in psychology from Rutgers in New
Jersey. He served on the Board of
Directors for several organizations including the Michigan Federation of Private
Child and Family Agencies (1991-1997), the Belleville Area Chamber of Commerce
(1990-1997), the Michigan Association for Children’s Alliances (1992-1998), and
Volunteers of America (1995-1997).
Rosenzweig resides in Birmingham, Michigan.
Marygrove College is an independent, Catholic, liberal
arts college sponsored by the Sisters, Servants of Immaculate Heart of Mary
(IHM). The college offers associate,
