Marygrove College Student Wins
USCAA National Player of Week Award
Detroit, Michigan—Marygrove Mustangs’
Dennis Foster recently won another USCAA National Player of the Week Award.
This is the third time that Foster, a senior, has received this award while
playing for the Mustangs. He won it twice this year and once last year.
Foster received the award based on his exceptional
performances. In a game against Rochester College, he scored 27 points and had
six assists, five steals and four rebounds. In a road victory against Lambton College of Ontario, he
scored 53 points-a career, school and gymnasium record. He was 12 of 17 from
the three point line, seven of nine from the free throw line, and 17 of 25
overall. The 12 3's is a personal best, school and gymnasium record. Foster had
80 points, 11 assists, nine steals and eight rebounds for the two games.
The Player of the Week Award is a great honor to win
and Dennis has won it twice,” said David Sichterman, athletic
director/head men’s basketball coach at Marygrove College. “He is a returning USCAA Division
I All-American and I know that he wants to earn that a second time.
