Def Comedy Jam’s Tony Roberts Performs at Comedy Show Hosted by H.B. Sanders at Marygrove College

Detroit, Michigan—Two of Detroit’s most hilarious comedians will put the meaning into laughter as they take the stage for comedy night at Marygrove College on Friday, January 30. 2003 Star Search Comedy Champion Horace H.B.Sanders will host the show, which will feature Def Comedy Jam’s Tony Roberts. The event will take place in the Marygrove College Theatre, 8425 W. McNichols Rd. at 7:00 p.m. A reception will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the Main Dining Room, Madame Cadillac Building.

Tony Roberts knows just what it takes to amuse an audience. He has entertained people in some of the top comedy spots in Detroit, New York, New Jersey, Chicago and Los Angeles. He debuted on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, which led to appearances on Showtime at The Apollo and BET’s Comic View, where he held six performances.

Horace H.B. Sanders became the 2003 Star Search Comedy Champion with a perfect score of 20 stars from the celebrity judges. He received the

Highest total in the show’s history and took home $100,000, plus a development deal for his own sitcom on CBS. Horace was also co-host of the Morning Show on KISS 102.7 FM and has been featured on CTN Live, The Comcast Comedy Hour, BET Comic View and Comedy Central.
