Stage 4: Collecting Information Locating Periodical Articles in the Library  Because not all periodical articles are available in electronic full-text formats, it is sometimes necessary to go from the database to the printed article itself.  The database provides information needed to locate the article. In addition to the author’s name and the article title, the database record will give you the title of the periodical, the volume number, issue number, date, and page numbers.
