Welcome to the Marygrove College Library ERIC Database Tutorial!

Please read these introductory screens before you begin the tutorial.

The purpose of this tutorial is cover the basics of accessing and searching the ERIC database for Marygrove College students.  The tutorial is divided into four parts:

  1. Introduction to ERIC gives a little background on what ERIC is and what it contains, including instructions on how to access the database as a Marygrove student.
  2. Searching the ERIC Database details the types of searches you can perform in ERIC, how to find appropriate subject headings using the ERIC Thesaurus, and how to limit your search to get the results you want.
  3. Working With Your Results explains how to use the features of the database to most efficiently review your results, refine your search, and manage the records you find in your search.
  4. Getting the Information You Need covers the processes of printing from ERIC, getting full-text materials, and locating materials not available directly through ERIC.
