Purpose
To clarify the availability of AV equipment on the library's lower level and the
role that Circ/Media staff play
Scope
This policy applies to Marygrove College library employees
Statement of Policy
Laminating machines
- The laminating machines, located in the lower level media area, are
available for use by all faculty, staff, and students of Marygrove College.
- The circulation paraprofessionals will make themselves available to
instruct users on the mechanics of use of the laminating machines, but they
are not required to do laminating for patrons nor are they required to
provide laminating supplies and materials to library patrons.
- The roll of plastic laminating material is stored next to the laminating
machine, in the old equipment storage room.
Typewriter:
- An electric typewriter, located in the lower level media area, is
available for use by all Marygrove Library patrons.
- Circulation paraprofessionals are responsible for insuring the upkeep and
maintenance of this typewriter.
- Circulation paraprofessionals are not responsible for instructing patrons
on the use of the typewriter.
High-speed audiotape duplicating machine:
- An audiotape duplicating machine, located in the lower level media area,
is available for use by all Marygrove Library patrons.
- The library is not required to provide blank tapes for patrons' use.
- Circulation paraprofessionals are, however, responsible for aiding and
instructing patrons in the use of the audiotape duplicating machine, when
necessary.
