What is NetLibrary?
NetLibrary offers the most comprehensive collection of electronic books (ebooks) available online. This service provides you with access to a wide range of online full-text copies of the published print versions of reference, scholarly, and popular books. The Marygrove NetLibrary collection is over 24,000 volumes strong.
Accessing NetLibrary ebooks
There are three ways to access NetLibrary ebooks:
From the Marygrove College home page at http://www.marygrove.edu/library/,
click on Search for Books, then the Search for Electronic Books link. Off-campus users will be prompted for their Marygrove user name and password before linking to the site.
Direct links to many NetLibrary ebooks are available in the Marygrove Library Catalog. Titles available through NetLibrary will be indicated with [electronic resource] after the title of the book and will contain a NetLibrary link in their record. If you link to NetLibrary ebooks from off-campus, you will need your free NetLibrary account to access them.
Creating a NetLibrary account
Before you begin using NetLibrary, you should create a free account for yourself. To create your free account,
click on the Create a Free Account link at the top of the NetLibrary home
page and fill out the form to set up your account.
Once you complete the signup process, you will be automatically logged in.
Creating a free NetLibrary account allows you to use the more personalized features of the service. You don’t need a free account to view books, but if you want to check them out, keep a list of interesting books, or save notes in books you use, you will need the free account. The free account also gives you an alternative login method when accessing ebooks from off-campus.
