Book Borrowing
Marygrove College graduates are welcomed to use the library’s circulating collection.
To find available materials , you can search the publicly accessible
Marygrove
Library Catalog . To activate your borrowing privileges,
please come to the library circulation desk and show proof of graduation (your wallet-sized diploma is sufficient). You will be issued a library card that will give you full borrowing privileges, including
interlibrary loan services and access to other
area libraries through the InfoPass and
MichiCard services.
Free Technology
Workshops at the STIC
The Student Technology Instruction Center (STIC) offers free technology workshops throughout the year that are open to alumni. See the
STIC website for a schedule and contact information.
In-library Computer Use
Alumni are welcomed to use the computer resources in the library reference room
and the Student Technology Instruction Center (STIC). This includes access to Microsoft Office applications like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel,
as well as subscription databases available on-campus only. We will be happy to sign you on as
a guest user with your proof of graduation or Marygrove Library card.
Remote Database Access through MeL
Many of the subscription databases available through in-library computer access
are also available off-campus through the
Michigan eLibrary (MeL), where you can login with your Michigan driver’s license or state ID number. Visit http://mel.org to
see a list of databases available.
Reference Services
Reference and Instruction Librarians are available for walk-up research
assistance at the reference desk all hours that the library is open.
