Primary Duties:
Plan, organize, and coordinate the activities of the Cataloging Department.
Original cataloging for all formats of library materials.
Perform local authority work as necessary for names, series, and subjects. In accordance with Department policy, resolve problems arising from obsolete, conflicting, or incorrect cataloging from the past.
Reference services with students and staff.
Maintain liaison with other Library departments; communicate and coordinate policies and practices and department needs.
Assist in selection of materials for the Humanities, Math, and Science.
Organize and maintain the Marygrove College Archives Collection.
Provide leadership in formulating department goals and objectives; carry out established goals and objectives of the Cataloging Department.
Current Projects:
Cataloging and converting Archives Collection to maintain an online presence.
Along with Dr. Karen Davis, creating and maintaining Talking Textiles, a website dedicated to African textiles and their creation.
With Dr. Dena Scher, creating an Oral History Project which will be accessible through the Archives Collection.
