TITLE:                          Webmaster

DEPARTMENT:          Institutional Advancement Div.

REPORTS TO:             Director of Communications and Marketing

CLASSIFICATION:     Full-time, Exempt (salaried)

 

Summary:

The Webmaster, under the direction of the Director of Communication and Marketing, develop and manage the Marygrove College web site. This position requires collaboration with the senior leadership team, Deans, faculty, staff, and departments to represent the mission and current programs of the entire College.

 

Essential duties/responsibilities:

Qualifications:

A high level of creativity and proactivity

Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field

Previous experience in higher education required

Proficiency in HTML, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe, and Dreamweaver

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent people skills

Must understand and practice the highest level of confidentiality

Essential RE skills:

ü      Search for a record

ü      Create new records/edit existing records

ü      Update addresses, validate addresses

ü      Find relationships, create new relationships

ü      Read a gift record

ü      Create a notepad

ü      Assign a solicitor

ü      Create an action reminder

ü      Understand primary and other constituency codes

 

Advanced RE skills:

ü      Create, run, and update reports

ü      Create, run, and update queries

ü      Use Mail module

ü      Use Event module

ü      Create and commit constituent and gift batches

ü      Create exports

ü      Name reports/exports/queries appropriately

ü      Merge Duplicate records

ü      Clean house!

 

 

Essential Microsoft skills:

ü      Create, format, and print a Word document

ü      Create, format, and print an Excel spreadsheet

ü      Send email from Outlook

ü      Maintain a calendar in Outlook

ü      Create and maintain contacts in Outlook

ü      Access other users’ calendars in Outlook

ü      Clean house!

 

 

Essential Network skills:

ü      Find and identify correctly various network folders

ü      Find, identify, and/or create new network subfolders

ü      Clean house!
