DETROIT, Mich., Feb. 4, 2011—Marygrove College’s Department of Business and Computer Information Systems has been awarded funding for the inception of the Comerica Scholars Program (CSP). The selected recipient will receive a scholarship toward tuition and fees at Marygrove and will be recognized at the College’s annual Honors Convocation in March.
Funded by the Comerica Charitable Foundation, this program will provide financial assistance and professional development experience to a Marygrove full-time, undergraduate student in a business or business-related degree program. By providing structured practical experiences that augment classroom learning in ways that enhance the career development of business students, the Comerica Scholars Program creates distinctive career-building opportunities. The Program includes community service, networking and shadowing experiences that will strengthen relationships that foster retention of local talent.
The competitive application process for the CSP will be coordinated through the Marygrove Business Department.
