MARYGROVE COLLEGE AND REDFORD PUBLIC LIBRARY PRESENTS
Black History Month EVENT
Black HairStory: Back to Our Roots Touring Exhibit and Lecture
The program will include Marygrove College acting students performing “The Hairpiece” from the play “The Colored Museum” by George C. Wolfe; directed by Leslie Love, followed by a lecture-discussion with Natural Hair Care Artist, Author, and Activist Kalimah Johnson and Hair Wars Founder, Entrepreneur and DJ David “Hump the Grinder” Humphries. A mini-photo display of Marygrove College’s “Black HairStory Exhibit” will be on display in the library throughout the month of February. |
