The Idolatry of Information in a Mediated Age. An interrogation of the manifold roles of information in the contemporary world. What does it mean to be informed? Are "data" simply the reifications of presumed understandings? Is DNA "merely" the physical codification of information? George Alcser will facilitate discussion of these and other questions. |
