"Nou Tout Se Yon / We All Are One" Celebrate Haitian Solidarity February 12, 2012 The IHM sisters have been concerned with Haiti since the 1990s as a result of reflection on the heritage of their co-founder Theresa Maxis Duchemin, daughter of a Haitian mother and English father. Through support of various agencies they have educated themselves in the history, economy, and sociology of Haiti. "Celebrate Haiti Solidarity" presents an opportunity for us to learn more about Haiti both academically and culturally. The program will feature dance, music and film.
Anne Wisda, IHM ’57 visits with school children in Riviere Froide, Haiti where the Petite Souers de St. Therese have their motherhouse. |
