The purpose of this site is to provide you with additional resources to help you navigate the road to the completion of your degree. You will find that there are many resources available at Marygrove to help you reach your educational goals. We also strive to provide you with safe and positive learning experiences, in and out of the classroom.

One way we offer you a safe environment is to inform all students of our clear position against sexual assault, harassment, or violence of any kind on or off campus. We want the small percentage of students who might disregard our policies against sexual harassment and or sexual assault to know our strong position against such unacceptable behaviors. Policies and procedures have been developed to provide clear consequences to the perpetrator and procedures to follow if you have been harassed and or sexually assaulted.

Our 3’Cs of commitment, competence, and compassion are the foundation of our mission at the College.

We are committed to providing you with a safe environment, competent in our response should you be assaulted or harassed and compassionate in the ways in which we support you in a crises.

In addition, confidential counselling is available to all Marygrove students who might need to talk to someone about a problem they might be having or any of the following issues:

• Physical or emotional abuse
• Sexual assault
• Constant stress

• Anxiety
• Depression
• Painful childhood memories
• Spiritual and emotional maturity
• Lack of life direction and purpose

Frequently counselling can assist a person in maintaining their academic goals. It is also a time to vent, problem solve, become more self-aware and increase one’s level of emotional maturity. Contact Dr. Carolyn A. Roberts at 313.927.1474 to schedule an appointment. Day and evening appointments are available. The counselling office is located in the Student Center Building, room SC106.

Whether your “place” is the basketball court, volleyball court, the track or on the soccer field, Marygrove College wants to prepare you to lead. We teach our student-athletes personal responsibility, professionalism and leadership. It’s an environment of caring and concern for all members of the campus community as well as the global village in which we live.

NAIAAs part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the Marygrove College Mustang Athletic Program is committed to supporting and nurturing what we believe should be the true foundation of any athletic program – character and leadership development. Our coaches teach within the five core values of the NAIA’s Champions of Character Program: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Servant Leadership and Sportsmanship. In fact, our Mustang Athletic Program is working toward becoming a Champions of Character Program Center for our region. This center will be a resource for on- and off-campus groups to learn about the benefits of character and leadership development.

WHACMarygrove’s student-athletes have the rare opportunity of receiving personal attention in both academics and athletics from one of the finest Liberal Arts colleges in Michigan. As an athlete, you will receive plenty of one-on-one time with coaches, and the support of Marygrove’s faculty, staff and fans! As a student, you will receive a superb education and personalized attention, and you’ll graduate with the skills necessary to take you anywhere you want to go with your career.

    Getting Involved is Getting Ahead

College is all about discovery. Who are you? What are you passionate about? Exploring interests outside the classroom is a great way to stretch yourself, meet people from all walks of life, and develop new skills and possibilities. That’s why Marygrove offers so many student organizations and groups.

    For Every Passion, an Opportunity

Student Organizations are a significant part of the college experience. They are a great platform to practice leadership skills, learn new skills and to take classroom theory and lesson and put them into practice. There are social, academic, religious and Greek organizations here at Marygrove. If there is not an organization that you are interested, but are interested in starting one, please contact the Student Engagement Specialist for help to begin the process of bringing the new organization to campus!
