Marygrove College is seeking an Adjunct Professor of Photography (Art 276)

The Department of Art seeks an energetic and innovative educator/scholar with demonstrated knowledge in photography studio practices and history of photography to begin September 2014.  

Qualified candidates must bring a contemporary perspective on photography as well as digital photography experience. The successful candidate is expected to teach 2 courses per year (undergraduate beginner through advanced stacked courses at present), Problems courses and/or Independent Study as well as contributing to teaching in other courses as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree or equivalent. 
Experience in administering photography studio and equipment.  

Preferred Qualifications

- Evidence of successful college level teaching experience beyond graduate assistantship (including both wet lab and digital media). 
- Demonstrated evidence of professional accomplishment. 
- Experience in in experimental/alternative photographic processes

- Thorough knowledge of contemporary issues related to emerging artistic genres and their relationship to photography.
