Marygrove College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professorship in English to begin August 2013 pending final budget approval. Preferred area of expertise is rhetoric and composition. Ph.D. required. We seek an energetic teacher, an active scholar, and a dependable colleague committed to advancing an ambitious schedule of undergraduate and graduate courses and activities, as well as the College’s urban leadership mission. Normal teaching load is twelve credit hours per semester. Because Marygrove College strives to maintain a faculty that reflects its diverse student body, we encourage applications from members of communities traditionally underrepresented in college faculties.
Review of applicants will begin July 26, 2013. Send letter of application, vita, unofficial transcript, and names of three references to Darcy L. Brandel, Ph.D., Chair, English and Modern Languages Department, Marygrove College, 8425 West McNichols Road, Detroit, MI 48221-2599.
