Brief Description:

Adjunct Faculty is needed for the Masters in Educational Leadership Program, Leading to Administrative Certification. Marygrove College is State approved to recommend candidates for K-12 Administrative Certification. Candidates must have a Ph.D., Ed.D, or its equivalent. Those completing a doctoral degree may be considered. Candidates must have extensive experience as a certified teacher, and school administrator. They must have a firm foundation of knowledge, dispositions, and skills in organizational and curriculum theory, school law and finance, and use of technology to improve student learning. They must also have experience teaching hybrid and on-line classes utilizing the Blackboard Platform or its equivalent.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching students in the Educational Leadership Program
  • Follow the master syllabus for courses
  • Grade course and signature performances
  • Summarize and submit to the Coordinator student performance on course and signature performances
  • Ability to relate to students and  guide them in their course needs

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D or Ed.D., or equivalent, in School Administration, Educational Leadership, or related field of study
  • Prior teaching experience and Teaching Certificate
  • Prior School Administrative experience and Administrative Certificate, or eligible for certification
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and on-line course management tools
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization, multi-tasking, and follow up skills with students
  • Respect for detail, accuracy, and deadlines
  • Ability to follow directions for implementation of program approved administrative certification program requirements
