Assistant Coach, Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field

Position Status: Part-time

Position Description:

Marygrove College, a member of the NAIA, is seeking applicants for an Assistant Coach in the varsity sport of Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field.  The Mustang Athletic Program has 14 varsity sports and will be joining the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference in July, 2012. 

Job Description: This position will be responsible for assisting the head coach in all aspects of recruiting, coaching, and administering the men’s and women’s cross country and track and field programs. Primary responsibility will be in the Multi’s-Throws and Jumps event areas.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree is required. The applicant should have strong communication skills, both oral and written, as well as coaching experience at the college level.  Familiarity with the college recruitment and enrollment process is preferred. This position is responsible for assisting the head coach with all aspects of operating a successful Cross Country/Track and Field program to include; practice preparation, event coaching, recruiting, academic monitoring, and other duties assigned by the Head Coach.
