Like many of our Marygrove students, I was born in Detroit, Michigan. I grew up in the Marygrove College neighborhood and attended Bagley Elementary School, Post Middle School and Mumford High School. I received my Ph.D. from Wayne State University. My career at Marygrove has spanned almost thirty years. The same qualities that have brought you to Marygrove have enhanced my tenure here. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to know my students on a one-to-one basis. The small class sizes helps to create a nurturing family atmosphere for student’s new to college life, and those returning to earn a degree in higher education.
My husband and I have two adult children. We are proud of their accomplishments both personally and professionally. We are fortunate our son and his wife, as well as our daughter live in the greater Detroit area.
Please email or call me to arrange an on campus appointment
My educational credentials include an A.A.S. degree, a B.S. degree, an M.Ed degree, an M.A. degree, and a Ph.D. In addition to formal education, I have been a Scholar-in-Residence at New York University. I also attend and present at professional seminars and educational events both nationally and internationally.
My research interests are focused to technology and its impact upon the educational community. The area that has been the most challenging has been distance learning, e-learning and e-portfolios.
My out-of-class activities include time spent with my family, travelling, reading, knitting, and doing needlepoint.
