LEND A HAND SANDWICH TO GO PROGRAM
Saturday, October 27, 2007; 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
The Alumni Association has volunteered once again to assist with the Cass Community Social Services’ Sandwich to Go Program on Saturday, October 27, 2007, from 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Scott Center, 11850 Woodrow Wilson Dr., Detroit.  This program, which provides meals for detainees, funds a significant number of Cass Community Social Services’ projects. We will prepare 1,200 sandwiches that will be distributed among Detroit Police Department precincts. This is a great way to carry out the mandates to feed the poor and visit (figuratively) those in prison. If you are interested in volunteering or if you need more information, please contact Monique Kelly Brown ’93 at (586) 944-3809 or mbrow247@ford.com. Those who have participated in the past have expressed their appreciation for having the opportunity to bond with their fellow alums while offering assistance to an organization that provides vital services to thousands of disadvantaged people in Detroit.

This coming October 19-21, the main conference in San Rafael, California, will be connected each day through a live satellite broadcast. Local workshops, speakers and activities will complement the national program. For more information, contact Gloria Rivera, IHM at (313) 843-0802 or river1143@sbcglobal.net.
