Here are some frequently asked questions students and prospective students have about Marygrove's distance learning professional development for teachers courses.
What is the tuition for these courses?
Students pay $495 per course and this includes the graduate credit, all books, study guide and the DVD. Tuition is subject to change
What is your refund/cancel policy?
Requests must be submitted in writing to Canter on or before the cancellation due date listed for the originally enrolled semester, in order to receive a refund of tuition, less a $35 cancellation fee. No refunds will be issued for late requests. You are responsible for returning all materials.

I prefer to use my P.O. Box address. Why are you requiring a street address?
Course materials are sent via UPS. UPS does not / cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes.
Can I handwrite my coursework?
Per the Course Information Packet, all coursework must be computer-generated and bound securely (i.e. in a three-hole-punch duo-tang folder).
Do I need to send anything else with my completed coursework?
For each coursework submission, you must include the three (3) forms (application, checklist and cover sheet). These can be found in the Course Information Packet.
Can I have my graded coursework returned to me?
If you include a self-addressed, stamped envelope (with correct postage), your evaluated coursework can be returned to you
Will Marygrove College automatically send an official grade report to me?
On or about the date listed on the front of the current Course Information Packet, an official grade report will be mailed to the address we have on file.
Can I receive my grade(s) earlier than the published date?
An early transcript is available upon written request and for a fee. Please include this request WITH your coursework. Include your name, course number(s), semester and where you want the early transcript to be mailed.
What is the academic honesty policy?
All members of the academic commuity at Marygrove College are expected to uphold the standards of academic honesty and integrity. Academic dishonesty includes such things as cheating on examinations, plagiarizing the work of others, and falsifying data or records. Such conduct may result in immediate dismissal from Marygrove College. Furthermore, Marygrove College students are expected to respect the integrity and personal rights of others and to allow for their educational progress at the College. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.
Can I submit my work late?
Extensions will be granted only for extenuating circumstances. You must e-mail the program coordinator with your request PRIOR to the completion deadline. The fee for late submission is $100; payment to be included with the coursework. No requests will be accepted by telephone.
How long does it typically take to evaluate coursework?
Generally, the process takes approximately two (2) weeks, although this may vary depending upon volume.
Can an official grade report be faxed to me or my employer?
Official grade reports can only be mailed via the U.S. Postal Service.
Can Marygrove College prepare a Completion Letter?
Marygrove College does not provide Completion Letters.
How long do I have to complete the course?
This answer depends upon when you registered for the course. Please check the front cover of the Course Information Packet for the semester in which you are enrolled to find the completed coursework due date.
Where do I send the DVD’s when I have completed the course?
Do not send the DVD’s to Marygrove College or Canter. You may keep them.
