Registration and Information

REGISTERING
Each class has a minimum required enrollment. Once that number is reached, the class is a “go.” If you find a class you like, encourage a friend to join you. Sometimes two or three people make the difference between “go” or “cancel.”

Register by mail:
People who want to register for Kids’ College, IMD, and adult classes can register by mail. Enclose a check, money order, MasterCard information or VISA information for the full amount of tuition and fees. Mail to: Marygrove College, Enrollment Center, 8425 W. McNichols Road, Detroit, Michigan 48221.

Register by telephone:
People who want to take a CE class who have a MasterCard or VISA may register for non-credit courses by phone. Call 866-903-3033 and have your credit card information handy.

Register in person:
To register in person, please go to the Enrollment Center in the Liberal Arts Building, room 120. Office hours are: Mon. - Fri., 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; and Sat., 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Late Registration:
Late registration will be accepted after the first day of classes and through the first week of classes only if there are openings. A fee of $10.00 will be charged.

TEXTBOOKS AND SUPPLIES
The cost of books and supplies is in addition to tuition unless stated otherwise in the course description. Books can be purchased in the Marygrove College Bookstore.
The Office of Continuing Education will bill your company for student tuition and fees, provided written authorization is received in the Continuing Education Office prior to or at the time of registration.

WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS
Withdrawals:
  1. Students must submit a written request to the Continuing Education office to withdraw from a course.
  2. Failure to complete a course does not constitute official withdrawal. In addition, formal withdrawal does not necessarily entitle a student to tuition or a refund.

Refunds:
Marygrove College strictly adheres to the following refund policy:

  1. Refund requests stating the reasons for the refund must be submitted in writing to the Continuing Education Office in person or through the mail.
  2. No withdrawal or refund requests can be accepted by telephone.
  3. Refund amounts are pro-rated according to the day and time the refund request is received (postmark date for mail request). Refund rates are based on the number of times a class meets, NOT the number of sessions a student attends.
  4. Tuition and fees cannot be transferred from one term to another. Fees are not refundable.
  5. Refunds take approximately 4-6 weeks to process through the Business Office.
  6. Full tuition and fees will be refunded if a course is cancelled by Marygrove College.
  7. Refund requests for one-and two-day workshops and seminars must be received in writing by the CE office at least two business days prior to the scheduled event.
  8. Refund rates are based on the number of times a class meets, NOT the number of sessions a student attends. Fees are not refundable.
