General Overview

In today's society health and fitness is an ever-growing aspect of everyday life. Marygrove College acknowledges that and has put programs in place that not only promote health and well-being, but also create a positive social atmosphere for the campus community.

Schedules are often overflowing with activities, responsibilities, and deadlines, leaving many individuals feeling overwhelmed. Recreational activity can help you deal with the stress of an occupied life, and help you move toward a healthier, more active, and more balanced lifestyle. Members of the Marygrove College campus community are encouraged to take advantage of all the recreational programs here, including Intramurals, by way of the University of Detroit Mercy, and our on-site fitness facilities.

Through participation in Intramurals, individuals can get fit and enjoy themselves at the same time. The Intramurals program sponsors many events and leagues and has increased its offerings each year. Marygrove College also offers a fitness center that possesses a wide variety of weight room equipment, cardio machines, and other facilities for individuals to use at their own convenience. The fitness center is located in the lower level of Madame Cadillac Hall.

If you are interested in participating, or simply want to pick up an intramural handbook, stop by the lower level of the Madame Cadillac building and pick up a registration form in the athletic office.
