Whether your “place” is the basketball court, volleyball court, the track or on the soccer field, Marygrove College wants to prepare you to lead. We teach our student-athletes personal responsibility, professionalism and leadership. It’s an environment of caring and concern for all members of the campus community as well as the global village in which we live.
As part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the Marygrove College Mustang Athletic Program is committed to supporting and nurturing what we believe should be the true foundation of any athletic program – character and leadership development. Our coaches teach within the five core values of the NAIA’s Champions of Character Program: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Servant Leadership and Sportsmanship. In fact, our Mustang Athletic Program is working toward becoming a Champions of Character Program Center for our region. This center will be a resource for on- and off-campus groups to learn about the benefits of character and leadership development.
Marygrove’s student-athletes have the rare opportunity of receiving personal attention in both academics and athletics from one of the finest Liberal Arts colleges in Michigan. As an athlete, you will receive plenty of one-on-one time with coaches, and the support of Marygrove’s faculty, staff and fans! As a student, you will receive a superb education and personalized attention, and you’ll graduate with the skills necessary to take you anywhere you want to go with your career.
Visit the Marygrove Mustangs website for up to date scores and news.
College is all about discovery. Who are you? What are you passionate about? Exploring interests outside the classroom is a great way to stretch yourself, meet people from all walks of life, and develop new skills and possibilities. That’s why Marygrove offers so many student organizations and groups.
For Every Passion, an Opportunity
Where to begin? You can address the vital issues facing the black community as a member of the Association of Black Social Work Students (ABSWS). Or make the big decisions that will impact Marygrove and its students for generations as member of The Council of Student Organizations or the Marygrove Student Government. Got the right stuff? Join an honor society and become a leader in your chosen field: Pi Delta Phi (French), Phi Alpha (Social Work), Sigma Delta Pi (Spanish), and Sigma Tau Delta (English). Love to dance?
