Register for IMD Classes Online

Register online before the first day of class.

5 Easy Steps

1. Visit:  http://webadvisor.marygrove.edu
2. Click on the yellow/gold rectangle labeled "Continuing Education or Institute of Music & Dance." You may have to scroll down to find it.
3. DO NOT login. Instead, click on "Register and Pay for Classes/Conferences under the Registration box.
4. Have your credit card available (leave form blank). Click "Submit" at bottom of page.
5. You will then be able to review, select and register for IMD classes

Please note:  Registration for Private Lessons must be done in person in the Marygrove College Enrollment Center, Liberal Arts Building, Room 120 or by phone at (313) 927-1583.

Directions

Most music classes are on the 2nd floor in the Madame Building

• Take elevator or stairs to 2nd floor 
• Turn right, walk through chapel 
• Continue through narrow hallway 
• Room numbers are posted on the wall at the end of the hallway

Dance Attire

Female Dance Class Attire  

• BALLET ages 5-7:  pink or black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes (soft leather), ballet skirt (optional)
• BALLET ages 8 & up:  black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes (soft leather), ballet skirt (optional)
• TAP:  black leotard, black or pink tights or black dance shorts or pants, tap shoes
• JAZZ & HIP HOP:  black leotard, black tights or black dance shorts or pants, black jazz shoes or jazz sneakers
• CREATIVE MOVEMENT:  Any color leotard and tights, barefoot or pink ballet shoes, can also wear T-shirt and shorts or sweat pants 

Male Dance Class Attire 

• ALL CLASSES:  plain white T shirt, black dance pants or tights
• BALLET:  black ballet shoes (soft leather)
• TAP:  black tap shoes
• JAZZ & HIP HOP:  black jazz shoes or jazz sneakers

General Class Attire 

• HAIR MUST BE PULLED BACK FOR ALL CLASSES
• NO DANGLY EARRINGS – POST EARRINGS ARE ALLOWED
• NO DENIM PANTS OR SHORTS

Scholarship Audition Information

All auditions are held in the Liberal Arts Building 

CHILDRENS ART

4th floor vestibule off elevator 

ages 8 – 14 

Bring 3 (or more) pieces of recent artwork 

CHILDRENS DANCE

2nd floor – rm.# LA 211 

ages 7+ 

Be prepared to take a Ballet class, jazz & modern disciplines will also be taught 

CHILDRENS DRAMA

2nd floor – rm.# LA 203 

Jr. Performers - ages 6 – 8 

Summer Theater Intensive - ages 9 – 15 

Prepare one of the following for the AUDITION: 

1) a song to sing 

2) a dance to perform 

3) a monologue or a poem to recite 

OR a combination of any of the above 

for APPROXIMATELY 1 minute. 

A CD player will be available if needed.
